A new YouGov poll asked folks whether they’d rather be smart and sad or dumb and happy. 37% of Americans say they’d rather be dumb and happy, but 35% would prefer the opposite, to be smart and sad. 40% of men say they’d opt to be smart and sad, with 33% wanting to be dumb and happy. 40% of women would prefer to be dumb and happy, and 30% would opt for smart and sad.
