Kelly Rowland has a bundle of joy on the way as she is expecting her second child with husband Tim Weatherspoon.
Rowland revealed the happy news on the new cover of Women's Health on which she is glowing as she shows off her growing baby bump at the beach.
During an interview with the magazine, Kelly explained that she and her husband had been lightly discussing getting pregnant again, and during the pandemic, decided to try and "see what happens," and ended up getting pregnant right away. She recalled, "We had been talking about it loosely, and then COVID happened, and we were just like, 'Let’s see what happens.'"
Hesitant to share the exciting news with the world during such a challenging time surrounding the pandemic and its many effects, in addition to racial injustices that have occurred, she added, "But you still want to remind people that life is important. And being able to have a child…I’m knocking at 40’s door in February. Taking care of myself means a lot to me."
Although fans have been asking for new music from Rowland, the star says that her pregnancy won't stop her from working on her album. She explained, "I was thinking, Oh my god, my fans are gonna be so disappointed.…They wanted an album first, but they got a baby! And I was like, 'I have to figure this out so they get both.'"
Kelly and Tim share their son (and future big brother) Titan, who will turn six years old in November. Just a few days ago, Kelly shared a sweet message to her son on Instagram, writing alongside a picture of the two of them, "You make my world turn in ways I never thought! You changed my life! Had one of those moments with you, tonight that made my heart explode and it felt like we were in our own little bubble!"
