A third little girl has died in relation to a sailboat crash that took place in Miami, CBS News reports.

The family of 10-year-old Arielle Buchman confirmed that she died from injuries sustained during the Miami Youth Sailing summer camp boat crash that took place in Biscayne Bay last week.

“With broken hearts, we announce the funeral service of our beloved Arielle Mazi Buchman,” the family said in a statement.

Two other little girls, identified as Erin Ko Han and Mila Yankelevich, had also died from injuries sustained in the sailboat crash, while another child remains hospitalized. The other two people on the boat, one passenger and one instructor, weren't injured during the crash.

The crash took place between Hibiscus Island and Monument Island at around 11:15 a.m. local time, authorities confirmed to CBS News. The sailboat was dragged under the barge where a crane was located on top of what appeared to be pilings for a dock.

Miami Beach Fire Rescue crews were the first responders to arrive at the scene prior to Miami, Miami-Dade, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Coast Guard all worked together to recover the six individuals involved in the crash.

"There was a massive boat and it hit one of the small sailboats. All of the kids went flying off. Two were found quickly and three had to go to the hospital," said Enzo Pifer Eddy, a 9-year-old witness at the scene via CBS News.
